Over the last few days we have witnessed the ugly face of bigotry rear its head. We have seen horrific displays of racism and of anti-Semitism. This week we were painfully reminded that the evils of Neo- Nazism and white supremacy are still very much alive.
These events were motivated by hatred and filled with despicable acts of violence.
Growing up with a mother who survived the Nazi death camps and who lost most of her family to their vitriolic hate, I cannot remain silent. As a family, as a company and as humans we cannot stand idly by. No one should be permitted to exhibit these horrendous displays of unmitigated abhorrence.
There is no place in the United States or anywhere in the world for such horrific words and actions.
Our prayers go out to the grieving families of those that lost their lives while standing up for justice.
We will not be silenced. We will continue to spread our message of universal compassion, kindness and peace through our actions and through our shoes.
