The Koru Collection features a 1" polyurethane sole which is extremely lightweight, durable & slip resistant. This collection uses a hand-sewn Strobel construction making it strong and extremely flexible. VEGAN American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA) Accepted for promoting good foot health. I have a medium width foot, but a narrow heel and thin/narrow ankle and theKoru base, especially with laces, tends to works well for me. Sadly, these are the exception to that rule. Because these are fully knit and do not have a tongue, they cannot be as tightly adjusted for my heel/ankle. These slipped just enough in the ankle that I returned them. They were well made and cute, would be perfect for someone with a normal medium width heel.
